I had a productive day today. Not that I got much done, but we went to my mother's apartment and picked up her washer and dryer. Mine has been kaput for a while now. She is moving on Friday to Syracuse, New York. It is far enough away that if she wants to see us, she will have to come here. She is the one moving away after all. But, my sister was there. She and I haven't really spoken more than a few words in nearly ten years. That is over now. Kate seems happy.
Okay, so this is where I admit our family is more than a bit flawed and we have always tried to cover those flaws and scars by helping others. It hasn't always worked out well. I don't even try anymore. I mean what do I know? My older three children are not talking to me, but Mom and Kate say they are doing well. Alex seems to be coming around a bit so there is that. Of course, Mom is leaving. So, she is kinda outta help when it comes from her family unless she starts talking to us again and I think she knows that. Anyway, I was going to post the veggie sausage I like well enough to make again, but I decided to wait a bit and post the recipe I am coming up with on my own first. Nothing all that original or radical But perfect for the cold late fall, early winter months. So, stay tuned for that. Hopefully, I will get it all worked out in the next few days.
