My first post about my transition from Keto to Vegetarian and I really don't know what to say. I will try to post recipes, but I am a home cook. Even my baking recipes consist of, "just throw in a little of this and a little of that don't forget..."

I will try to do better than that, but I was taught how to make yeast rolls by a woman who didn't tell me how to make them but showed me. I have spent the last 35 years of my life trying to figure out what was important and what wasn't. I still haven't perfected it, but I have gotten closer. I promised her I would change one thing about the recipe and never tell anyone but my kids. So, you will never see it here. Besides, I can never remember if it was 6 serving spoons of sugar or 8. As I said, I learned by doing and measuring cups and spoons were rarely in the mix.

So, why am I transitioning? About a year ago, I got food poisoning. I don't know from where. We were traveling at the time. Since then, I have become lactose intolerant, my mild allergy to eggs has become a full-blown intestinal crisis, and I discovered I now at least have a sensitivity to things like Kombucha and Alcohol sugars. I think I may have always had that, and just didn't put it all together. I don't like the smell of any type of fermented drink, though I love sourdough. I have never been drunk. I get sick before I get that close and have to eat something so there is that. Anyway, if you can't eat eggs or cheese keto goes from being difficult to being unbearable.

Hubby pointed out that bread has always been my passion. I am a carb girl through and through. That is why my last blog was called keto carb addict. Don't bother looking for it. I deleted everything in a moment of clarity or maybe lack thereof. So there ya go. I have a few recipes I can share.

Who am I kidding, I have a huge book of 1000 vegetarian dishes published in the mid 80"s that I can tweak. Thanksgiving is coming up. It's basically just going to be me and hubby. Well, a couple of the kids will be here, but three of them are no longer speaking to me and the youngest has to work. Mom is moving to upstate New York in a couple of days and won't be here. Oh, and it will be my 49th birthday. Yeah Me.

So with all that in mind, I will try to post at least one new recipe a week, no promises though.
